Local Awards

The Chicagoland Association continues to provide local awards to bowlers.


Commemorative 300-game or 800-series bowling pins are offered to each bowler with corresponding accomplishments at no additional cost.

Limit: one per season.


Additional commemotative pins may also be purchased for $30.00 once the score has been approved by the USBC.

"30 Clean Sweep Award"

As of August 1, 2002, the Chicago Metropolitan Bowling Association initiated a new local award, "30 Clean Sweep." The award is a lapel pin as pictured. The Chicagoland USBC Association has decided to continue providing this award.

To be eligible, you must strike or spare in thirty consecutive frames, starting with the first frame, in a three game series. Duplications of this accomplishment will be recorded, but only one award will be presented per season.

State Awards

The Illinois USBC Women's Bowling Association offers the following awards for on-the-lane achievements. They include:

Series

675-699 (Scratch) Series
150 Pins Over Average (3-game series)

Game

275-299 (Scratch) Game
100 Pins Over Average (game)

The form for obtaining these awards can be viewed from the Illinois State USBC WBA.

National Awards

The USBC offers a variety of shirt emblems and lapel pins for on-the-lane achievements.  You can view a complete list of USBC National awards from bowl.com.  

You also can download the new award application forms for the 2009-2010, including the Adult Special Achievement Award, the Sport Special Achievement Award, the Youth Special Achievement Award, the USBC High Score Award, and the USBC Sport High Score Award.

NOTE:
A number of awards are being discontinued for adult bowlers, beginning in the 2009-2010 season. At the same time, additional awards will be offered for youth bowlers, beginning in the 2009-2010 season. You can view a table of adult or youth awards being phased out or added.
